This is a cellar door with a difference.
Will Legoe’s family have been farming between Robe and Beachport for 70 years.
Twenty plus years ago Will and his wife Sonia planted a 55 acre vineyard and 10 years ago they launched the Woodsoak Wines label.
Sonia’s heritage is Indian and this is reflected at the cellar door and also the labelling of their wines.
The emblem on the label is a peacock, the national bird of India.
Each day they roll out the antique Indian bar and offer free wine tastings, glasses and bottles and their signature samosa plate.
Woodsoak has 10 wines in their range my favourite being the Zaahira Sparkling.
Three of them are named after their children – Rani Rose, Raj Shiraz and Vijay Cabernet Sauvignon.
Sonia and Will love a chat with their customers.
